This 4-day adventure combines two of Uganda’s hidden natural treasures: the chimpanzee-rich Kibale Forest and the geothermal wonders of Semuliki National Park. Enjoy intimate wildlife encounters, a walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, and a scenic tour to the famed Sempaya Hot Springs surrounded by lush tropical forest.  Engage with the communities surrounding the forest and learn their traditions.  Support the local initiatives to improve livelihoods through your giving back
DETAILED itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Depart from Entebbe/Kampala to Kibale. All subject to arrival time.  Arrive and settle in at your lodge near the forest. 
 Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking, Bigodi Village Walk & Sanctuary
Morning chimp tracking in Kibale Forest. Afternoon guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland for birding and primate viewing. Walking through the village is one of the most enriching and popular activities. On this guided walk you will learn about the daily lives, traditions, and customs of the Batooro and Bakiga tribes who reside here. 
Day 3: Transfer to Semuliki National Park
Drive to Semuliki, visit the Sempaya Hot Springs, and explore Semuliki’s unique lowland tropical forest habitat.
Day 4: Return to Entebbe/Kampala
Scenic drive back with optional stops for photo moments or cultural experiences en route.

 Bigodi Village Walk -Learn about the daily lives and traditions & Customs of the 

Batooro/Bakiga tribes
-Tour the Bigodi trading center and experience the vibrant rural activity
Bird watching & Primate viewing -Encounter over 200 bird species & Primate species like the red-tailed monkey, black & white colobus. 
Cultural workshops & performances -Engage & learn the cultural dances & music performances with the local groups.
-Learn traditional skills such as drumming, dancing “Entogoro” style of Tooro people and story telling.
-Participate in the traditional crafts like backet weaving, mat making and jewelry creation using local materials.
